Diammonium Phosphate, commonly known as DAP is produced by ammonia and a combination of phosphoric acid. The phosphoric acid is generally acquired by processing Phosphate rocks. DAP is preferred to be applied as large granular forms, and its widely used in direct application as a fertilizer, and less in common way is to blend it in a composite fertilizer.
DAP (NH4)2HPO4 is water soluble and it contains 18% of Nitrogen and 46% of Phosphorus (P2O5).
